After marrying the girl of my dreams on 7/7/7(an easy-to-remember anniversary date) the two of us flew off to the beautiful country of Costa Rica for our honeymoon. It was during this incredible adventure that we were introduced to the phrase "Pura Vida".
The literal translation of this phrase is "Pure Life" but contextually it can mean something like "Full of Life", "Purified life", "This is living!", "Going great", or "Cool!" according to the Dictionary of Latin American Terms.
Like the dynamic phrase "Pura Vida", the "Your Pure Life" blog has many meanings. My background practicing clinical nutrition and my current status as full-time medical student will certainly contribute to this blog discussing various topics in the realm of health and wellness.
However, I also plan to discuss spiritual health as, according to one of my professors, man is made of body, mind, and spirit. And since Jesus admitted that His reason for coming was to give us "abundant life", or "life to the full", or "a better life than you ever dreamed of"(depending on which version of John 10:10 you are reading) I would be remiss if I excluded spiritual health from a blog about living a pure, full, and incredible life.
Hope you enjoy :) Follow this blog!
